However, in order to fulfill the requirements, you will have to do a make-up assignment.  You can write a one-page single-spaced (or 2 pages double spaced) research paper on geology, on one or more topics that we discussed in class this quarter.  You can either do research in the library or the Internet, or you can go hiking somewhere and take write a paper on what you observed in the field.
